NAASAA has been registered as a Not-for-Profit organization since 2018 under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (CNCA). We are committed to the value of respect, equal participation, and representation of South Asians in mainstream society by creating a more educated, tolerant, just, peaceful, and empathetic community. Our programs are meant for people from all backgrounds. We support South Asian children, women, youth, people with disabilities, and trans and other minority individuals and groups by encouraging them to play a pivotal role as active players globally.
The following objectives are our guiding pillars in achieving our mission and working towards our vision.
Education is the fundamental right of every individual; we are committed to fostering educational development among South Asians.
We are committed to working within the social justice lens to ensure equity and empowerment of marginalized individuals and groups.
We are committed to the equal participation of people with disabilities, religious and ethnic minorities, and the transgender and queer community.
We strive to promote peace and stability to counter the violent extremist narratives impacting the world.
We endeavor to incorporate anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and anti-homophobic practices through our work
Increase awareness of mental health and wellness and its potential incidence and impact on individuals' daily life and interactions at work.
We endeavor to focus on research through publications that strengthen the collaboration between the developed and developing world and link environmental research to broader economic and social-cultural development issues.
Our organization aims to empower children, youth, women, and marginalized communities by introducing programs that provide equal opportunities to these neglected fractions of our society. Moreover, as we understand that these segments can play an equally crucial role in driving the economic wheel of the countries, a prosperous South Asian region will ultimately promote economic trade zones, which will open new doors of development for the whole world.
We are committed to the value of respect, equal participation, and representation of South Asians in mainstream society by creating a more educated, tolerant, just, peaceful, and empathetic community.
